Ariane Mildenberg, who is currently writing a monograph entitled Modernism and Phenomenology: Epiphanic Moments in Philosophy, Literature and Art (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014), will soon embark upon another phenomenological project as editor of a volume entitled Understanding Merleau-Ponty, Understanding Modernism for the new Bloomsbury series Understanding Philosophy, Understanding Modernism. The volume will be divided into 3 sections: a section of new close-readings and critiques of Merleau-Ponty’s pivotal texts; a section of essays that reassess Merleau-Ponty’s impact on Modernism while also tracing his continuing importance to literature, media, and philosophy throughout the twentieth and into the twenty-first century; and a detailed glossary.
