This edition of John Webster\u2019s 1612-13 tragedy is aimed at student readers and includes a full introduction, a generous selection of supporting materials and criticism from a range of contributors to provide readers with a clear sense of the play\u2019s central themes of dramaturgy; the politics of family, court, and religion; and gender.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Neill is Professor of Early Modern Literature at the University of Kent and Emeritus Professor of English at the University of Auckland. He is the author of <em>Issues of Death: Mortality and Identity in English Renaissance Tragedy <\/em>and <em>Putting History to the Question<\/em>.
