David is also a successful screenwriter and has written screen adaptations of several of his novels, most recently <em>One Day, <\/em>which was made into a film starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. He has also written adaptations of <em>Tess of the D&#8217;Urbervilles <\/em>and <em>Far From the Madding Crowd<\/em> for the BBC.<\/p>\n<p>David will be reading from recent work, taking questions and signing books in <strong>Keynes Senior Common Room at 6pm on Wednesday 28 January<\/strong> (entry \u00a32).
