The group responds to the struggles happening in our contemporary \u2018moment\u2019, where they use literature and arts to support the right of all people to write, read and construct the world, \u00a0thereby capturing a distinct solidarity for an inclusive differential world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\"><i><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2021\/06\/Zine-book.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-3755 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2021\/06\/Zine-book.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"291\" height=\"363\" \/><\/a>With Love From Queer-Kuir-\u039a\u03bf\u03c5\u03ae\u03c1 Cyprus\u00a0<\/i>is the group&#8217;s first project that focuses on the \u2018LGBTQIA-to-Z\u2019 lived experiences related to recent postcolonial and partitioned failures, responds to failures linked to anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric in Turkey, and anti-corruption peaceful protests in Cyprus, among various other socio-political failures across the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">The project\u00a0was sponsored by the <a href=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/colonialandpostcolonialstudies\/\">Centre for Colonial and Postcolonial Studies<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/research.kent.ac.uk\/creativewriting\/\">Centre for Creative Writing<\/a>. The project has been co-created and edited together with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/english\/people\/146\/kemal-bahriye\">Dr Bahriye Kemal<\/a> and the undergraduate and postgraduate student body \u2013 Rebecca Copsey, Guy Forster-Pearce, IG, Kaan Serin, Elizabeth Watson Winsome and Monica Monit \u2013 who are studying the modules, &#8216;Right\/Write to the World: Displacement, Social Movement and Political Action&#8217;, as well as &#8216;Contemporary, Reaching Out to the Community&#8217; and &#8216;Colonial and Postcolonial Discourse&#8217;.<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2021\/06\/stuff.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-3769 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2021\/06\/stuff.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"699\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">The MegaZine consists of 40 leading and emerging queer voices as captured through words, images and sounds in 120 groundbreaking pages.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">Here is the link to the <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/13KmOuzEpL7RusAkp_fqUDCDCLL1YdR7m\/view\">free downloadable E-MegaZine<\/a>, shaped through working with Drew Kemp, Associate Professor of Curriculum and Social Justice, Augustas University, and Zine Scholar.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">The Megazine was launched on Friday 5 March 2021, with 200 people registering for the launch event. The Zoomcast showcases the MegaZine in a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=je5szLvth0Y\"> two-hour Queerfest<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2021\/06\/petals-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-3768 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2021\/06\/petals-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"699\" height=\"233\" \/><\/a>The project also consists of a limited edition artists\u2019 MegaZine completed this month through guidance from artist Egidija Ciricaite and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/english\/people\/79\/bolaki-stella\">Dr Stella Bollaki<\/a>.
