From these around 35 poems will be chosen for the long list and are published in an anthology, copies of which will be available from the Festival.<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2019\/06\/labyrinth.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-2641 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2019\/06\/labyrinth.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"280\" height=\"276\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2019\/06\/labyrinth.jpg 3373w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2019\/06\/labyrinth-300x295.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2019\/06\/labyrinth-768x756.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2019\/06\/labyrinth-1024x1009.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/files\/2019\/06\/labyrinth-1920x1891.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 280px) 100vw, 280px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A shortlist of poems is then selected and the poets invited to read them at the Awards Evening on 4 October in the Colyer-Fergusson Hall, University of Kent. From these the winners are chosen.<\/p>\n<p>Prizes include \u00a3200 for the winner, \u00a3100 for second and \u00a350 for third places, \u00a325 for the People\u2019s Choice and the Best-Read Poem receives a bottle of sparkling wine courtesy of Wine Underground.<\/p>\n<p>The Competition deadline is <strong>Monday 17 June 2019<\/strong>.
