The slot comes as Dr Cregan-Reid has just published a new book called\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.octopusbooks.co.uk\/books\/detail.page?isbn=9781788401081\"><em>Primate Change: How the World We Made is Remaking Us<\/em><\/a>\u00a0examining\u00a0how our lifestyles and jobs are becoming increasingly incompatible with leading a healthy life.<\/p>\n<p>The show will\u00a0feature an interview\u00a0with Dr Cregan-Reid on this topic and his book, and also feature a discussion with Professor Chris Hammond from King\u2019s College Hospital, a specialist in short-sightedness,\u00a0a disease driven strongly by the environment in which one lives and works.<\/p>\n<p>The show will also\u00a0talk to people who have deliberately changed from sedentary jobs into more active ones\u00a0and will encourage input from the public during the broadcast too\u00a0with a live phone-in.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Cregan-Reid said: \u2018The show should be a great way to engage with the public about my research which examines how our lives, particularly at work,\u00a0are changing us and making it harder for us to live long and healthy lives.\u2019<\/p>\n<h6>Text by Dan Worth<\/h6>\n<h6>Image by Jonathan Velasquez<\/h6>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr Cregan-Reid\u00a0will be on air from 13.00 \u2013 14.00 on\u00a0Nihal\u2019s Afternoon Edition\u00a0show.
