The Medical Humanities\u00a0Reading\u00a0Group\u00a0is a fortnightly reading\u00a0group\u00a0that will meet to discuss questions and other ideas related to the growing interdisciplinary field of the medical humanities. Topics will include, but are not limited to,\u00a0historical and current approaches to the medical humanities as an area of study, the contributions of different disciplines to understandings of health, illness and the role of medicine, the body, narrative, material culture and the arts, disability, affect, healthcare and health activism, ethics, pedagogy and global challenges.<\/p>\n

For our final medical humanities\u00a0reading\u00a0group, on Thursday 12th December<\/span><\/strong><\/span>, we will be discussing an article by Michelle Murphy, entitled “Unsettling Care: Troubling Transnational Itineraries of Care in Feminist Health Practices”.<\/span><\/p>\n
