That is why the Centre for Journalism is ranked first for graduate prospects in journalism in the Times Good University Guide 2018<\/a> and in the Complete University Guide.<\/p>\n

You learn how to report brilliantly for radio, television, newspapers and the internet while studying for a qualification that is professionally accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re so good at preparing people for working in the industry that a lot of our students get jobs before they\u2019ve even graduated!<\/p>\n

Tutors include former editors of national newspapers, radio and television programmes. Professional training is reinforced by academic teaching by leading\u00a0historians, political scientists and lawyers.<\/p>\n

The course is based in state-of-the-art newsrooms on the university’s historic Medway Campus\u00a0complete with radio and television studios, its own dedicated website<\/a>\u00a0and opportunities for work experience at KMTV<\/a>,\u00a0 the television news service for Kent, which is based in the Centre for Journalism.<\/p>\n
