{"id":139,"date":"2012-08-10T08:01:43","date_gmt":"2012-08-10T07:01:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/?p=139"},"modified":"2017-04-20T12:54:40","modified_gmt":"2017-04-20T11:54:40","slug":"students-to-benefit-from-kent-ica-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/english-news\/2012\/08\/10\/students-to-benefit-from-kent-ica-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Students to benefit from Kent-ICA partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 21 June 2012, a new partnership was launched between the University of Kent and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ica.org.uk\/\">Institute of Contemporary Arts <\/a>(ICA) in London, shared between Kent\u2019s School of English and School of Arts.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership is expected to lead to a number of exciting opportunities, including joint Masters Degrees, internships, professional practice projects for PhD students and a student-curated film \u2018festival\u2019. Another benefit for all new School of English undergraduates and postgraduates is a year\u2019s free membership of the ICA, enabling English students to interact with students from other institutions, attend and network through private views for members, and use the members-only studio facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Our Head of School, Professor Peter Brown said \u2018I am pleased that the School has become part of such an exciting, creative and productive partnership.
