In his book, he addresses the question of what happened to modernism after World War Two through a transatlantic frame, examining how a series of European writers, artists and intellectuals engaged with the U.S. culture industry between 1930 and 1960.<\/p>\n<p>Talking about <em>Transatlantic Aliens<\/em> in this blog for John Hopkins University Press, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.press.jhu.edu\/news\/blog\/alien-invasion-national-culture-peril-fifth-column-plot-uncovered\">\u2018Alien Invasion! National Culture in Peril! Fifth Column Plot Uncovered!\u2019<\/a>, he highlights the book\u2019s relevance in light of recent cultural and political developments in the UK, Europe and the United States.
