This news, which follows the recent announcement that we achieved an exceptionally high overall satisfaction rate of 95% (and a rank of 14th) in the National Student Survey 2016, confirms the School&#8217;s position as of the leading departments in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The criteria used by <em><a href=\"http:\/\/extras.thetimes.co.uk\/web\/2016\/bespoke\/university-guide\/index.html\">The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide <\/a><\/em>includes an analysis of student satisfaction with the quality of the teaching in each department, as well as with the wider university experience. The School scored particularly highly in the area of graduate prospects, where we were ranked 14<sup>th<\/sup> out of 105 institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Welcoming the new league table results, Professor David Herd,\u00a0Head of the\u00a0School of English commented:<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Following recent high positions in the\u00a0Guardian League Table, and the NSS &#8211; in both of which we are currently placed 14th &#8211; this\u00a0high ranking in the\u00a0Times\u00a0Good University Guide\u00a0confirms\u00a0that Kent is an excellent first choice for ambitious English students.
