This was preceded by a Reception and Prize Giving in the School where families, friends and staff celebrated their academic success. Prizes were awarded as follows:-<\/p>\n<p><em>The<a href=\"https:\/\/neon.com\/\"> Neon<\/a> Prize<\/em>\u00a0was awarded by Mr Ashley St Pier, Senior Product Designer, to Miss Ilarna Ngwe Zie Nche for the Outstanding Use of Mobile and Web Technologies.<\/p>\n<p><em>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.speechandlanguage.info\">Speech Link Multimedia Ltd<\/a> Prize<\/em>\u00a0was awarded by Mr Peter McLeod, Director, jointly to Miss Emily Vinsen and Mr David Swann, for Best Final Year Project with a Therapeutic Application.<\/p>\n<p><em>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teachfirst.org.uk\/\">Teach First<\/a> Prize <\/em>was awarded jointly to Mr Bradley Cotton and Mr Alexzander Farrall<em> (in absentia) <\/em>for Distinguished Performance in Examinations.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Digital Media Hub Prize <\/em>was awarded by Ms Famy Rashid, Digital Media Hub Manager, to Miss Amber Smith for Best Final Year Digital Project Application.<\/p>\n<p><em>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieee.org\/\">Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers<\/a> Chapter Final Year Prize <\/em>was awarded by Professor J Wang to Mr Torran Caufield for Best Final Year Undergraduate Project in the Telecommunications Area.<\/p>\n<p>The I<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theiet.org\/\">nstitution of Engineering and Technology<\/a> national prize was awarded by Professor Nathan Gomes to Mr William Fuller for Distinction by a Final Year Student on an IET Accredited course.<\/p>\n<p><em>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baesystems.com\/en\/home\">BAE Systems<\/a> Prize<\/em>\u00a0was awarded by Mr Peri Mehmet, Systems Graduate, BAE Systems Submarines, to Mr Joseph Richmond-Knight for the Most Outstanding Project by a Third Year CSE Student.<\/p>\n<p><em>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baesystems.com\/en\/home\">BAE Systems<\/a> Prize<\/em>\u00a0was awarded by Mr Peri Mehmet, Systems Graduate, BAE Systems Submarines, to Miss Maryam Rajitola (<em>in absentia<\/em>) for Inspiring the Participation of Women in Engineering.<\/p>\n<p><em>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baesystems.com\/en\/home\">BAE Systems<\/a> Prize<\/em>\u00a0was awarded by Mr Peri Mehmet, Systems Graduate, BAE Systems Submarines, to Miss Fatima Butt for Inspiring the Participation of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities in Engineering.<\/p>\n<p><em>The <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.megger.com\/\">Megger Instruments Ltd<\/a> Prize <\/em>was awarded by Mr Jonathan Odonde, Technical Director and Mr Thomas Taylor, EDA Alumni, to Mr Xiaohui Xu.<\/p>\n<p><em>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/stms\/\">Faculty of Sciences<\/a> Dean&#8217;s Prize<\/em>\u00a0was awarded by Professor Farzin Deravi to Mr Alexz Farrall (<em>in absentia<\/em>) for\u00a0 Outstanding Performance in the Examinations.<\/p>\n<p><em>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/stms\/\">Faculty of Sciences<\/a> Rotary Prizes<\/em>\u00a0were awarded by\u00a0Professor Farzin Deravi to Mr Bradley Cotton and Mr William Fuller for Distinguished Performance in Examinations.<\/p>\n<p>Many congratulations to all prize winners and to all our graduates upon your exceptional achivement!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Canterbury Cathedral was the magnificent setting for students from the School of Engineering and Digital Arts to receive their degrees on Tuesday 17th July 2018. &hellip;
