These included: hands on experience of printed wireless electronics made with conducting inks and learning about Radio Frequency Identification tags, making tiny toothbrush robots (Bristlebots) using a toothbrush head, a motor and a batter, meeting Edison a NAO Robot responding to voice control commands and watching Edison perform various activities including push ups,  &#8216;Meet the Scientists&#8217;, an interative challenge to learn about famous female scientists, and producing special visual effects in EDA&#8217;s green screen studio. <\/p>\n<p>The WiRED event was hosted by the University&#8217;s School of Engineering and Digital Arts (EDA). <\/p>\n<p>The schools involved were: The Canterbury Primary School, Pilgrims Way School, Canterbury and St Peter&#8217;s Methodist Primary School, Canterbury. <\/p>\n<p>International Women in Engineering Day is dedicated to raising the profile and celebrating the achievements of women in engineering.
