{"id":2985,"date":"2021-08-27T15:00:56","date_gmt":"2021-08-27T14:00:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/eda-news\/?p=2985"},"modified":"2021-08-27T15:00:56","modified_gmt":"2021-08-27T14:00:56","slug":"kent-sport-and-technical-services-marking-the-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/engineering-news\/2021\/08\/27\/kent-sport-and-technical-services-marking-the-way\/","title":{"rendered":"Kent Sport and Technical Services marking the way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Technicians from the <a href=\"http:\/\/kent.ac.uk\/eda\">School of Engineering and Digital Arts<\/a> have teamed up with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/sports\">Kent Sport<\/a> to produce a range of markers to upgrade the Canterbury campus orienteering and running routes.<\/p>\n<p>As part of Kent Sport&#8217;s ongoing mission to get everyone active they decided it was time to give some much needed attention to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/sports\/sports-recreation\/active-campus-routes\">Active Kent<\/a> orienteering routes on campus by introducing new marked running and walking routes.<\/p>\n<p>Billy Radford, Sports Development Officer, approached the Engineering technical team to help create a bold, professional and long lasting solution for numbering the orienteering posts.<\/p>\n<p>Together they designed innovative acrylic numbered markers which can be configured in 8 different number positions.
