{"id":2528,"date":"2020-06-23T11:31:02","date_gmt":"2020-06-23T10:31:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/eda-news\/?p=2528"},"modified":"2020-06-23T11:31:30","modified_gmt":"2020-06-23T10:31:30","slug":"congratulations-to-dr-mahmood-shafiee-upon-funding-from-the-uks-industrial-strategy-challenge-fund-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/engineering-news\/2020\/06\/23\/congratulations-to-dr-mahmood-shafiee-upon-funding-from-the-uks-industrial-strategy-challenge-fund-uk\/","title":{"rendered":"Congratulations to Dr Mahmood Shafiee upon funding from the UK&#8217;s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Congratulations to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kent.ac.uk\/engineering-digital-arts\/people\/2948\/www.kent.ac.uk\/engineering-digital-arts\/people\/2948\/shafiee-mahmood\">Dr Mahmood Shafiee<\/a> from the School of Engineering and Digital Arts\u00a0upon the\u00a0award from the UK\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/ktn-uk.co.uk\/interests\/iscf#:~:text=The%20Industrial%20Strategy%20Challenge%20Fund%20provides%20funding%20and%20support%20to,in%20the%20government's%20Industrial%20Strategy\">Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0a\u00a0project\u00a0entitled\u00a0\u2018Robotics and Autonomous Inspection Systems Engineering (RAISE)\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The Mechanical Engineering group at the University of Kent has put forward a strong agenda to build its identity and reputation as a world leader in \u201cRobotic Maintenance and Autonomous Inspection\u201d. This Industrial Strategy project links to two of the four Grand Challenges, namely, Clean Growth and Future of Mobility.
