The School of Engineering and Digital Arts warmly invites you to a Digital Media Taster Day taking place from 10.30 am to 4 pm on Saturday 18 January at the University of Kent, Canterbury.<\/p>\n
Today\u2019s creative industries often depend upon individuals who can combine technical skills with the ability to meet design challenges. Fields such as visual effects, 3D animation, mobile application design and dynamic web development are highly competitive. Virtual and Augmented Reality are becoming more ubiquitous. To succeed, you need a good understanding of the underlying digital technologies as well as the necessary design skills.\u00a0 Our courses are taught by a team of experts and industry professionals in the areas of web design and development, photography, mobile application development, 3D animation, games development, virtual and augmented reality, providing you with practical skills and design expertise in digital arts and digital technologies, opening up career opportunities in a range of areas within the creative industries.<\/p>\n
The day is free of charge and consists of gaining hands-on practical learning by experiencing industry standard visual effects practices, a course presentation, and opportunities to talk to academics and current students, campus tour and Life at Kent talk.<\/p>\n
