In November 2018 the AMBER (\u201cenhAnced Mobile BiomEtRics\u201d) project held it\u2019s second research conference at the Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Management in Warsaw, Poland.<\/p>\n
Hosted by our project partners, Warsaw University of Technology, our early stage researchers (ESRs) spent three days hearing from industry representatives and taking part in a hackathon. The hackathon looked at the biometric verification process for facial images taken on a mobile device and saw the ESRs working into the evening.<\/p>\n
Industry talks were given by AMBER industrial partner, Robert Mueller from NEXT Biometrics, Oscar Miguel Hurtado \u00a0from Call Sign, and Noemi Malska from Hyperion Alfa Venture Capital Fund. Each talk provided an insight into working in mobile biometrics, where to go after your PhD and project communication skills.
