{"id":1095,"date":"2018-09-24T10:24:41","date_gmt":"2018-09-24T09:24:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/eda-news\/?p=1095"},"modified":"2018-09-24T10:24:41","modified_gmt":"2018-09-24T09:24:41","slug":"eda-academic-dr-rocio-von-jungenfeld-to-showcase-media-installation-in-major-german-art-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/engineering-news\/2018\/09\/24\/eda-academic-dr-rocio-von-jungenfeld-to-showcase-media-installation-in-major-german-art-festival\/","title":{"rendered":"EDA academic, Dr Rocio von Jungenfeld, to showcase media installation in major German art festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eda.kent.ac.uk\/school\/staff_detail.aspx?pid=1249\">Dr Rocio von Jungenfeld<\/a> from the School of Engineering and Digital Arts (EDA) will exhibit her &#8216;zones of flow (iii)&#8217; exhibition at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyond-festival.com\/en\/art\/artists\/rocio-jungenfeld\/\">the BEYOND Festival<\/a>\u00a0taking place in Karlsruhe, Germany from 3 \u2013 7 October.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.beyond-festival.com\/en\/art\/artists\/rocio-jungenfeld\/\">The \u201czones of flow (iii)\u201d artwork<\/a>\u00a0is a photo-sensitive audio-visual installation that investigates the fluid connections between people, sea and land. It uses a video projection depicting water surfaces mapped onto a 2.5m paper-boat covered in light-dependent-resistors (LDR) which send signals to light-emitting-diodes (LED) inside smaller paper-boats. Copyright<\/h6>\n<div class=\"snippetBox\">\n<div class=\"summary2 summary2-content\">\n<div class=\"content\">\n<div class=\"text\">\n<div class=\"text\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eda.kent.ac.uk\/school\/staff_detail.aspx?pid=1249\">Dr von Jungenfeld<\/a>\u00a0has previously\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/eda-news\/2018\/07\/26\/open-studio-today-in-studio-3-gallery-featuring-rocio-von-jungenfleds-zones-of-flow-iii\/\">exhibited the work in the Studio 3 Gallery<\/a>\u00a0in the School of Arts and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/eda-news\/2018\/07\/20\/outreach-event-bridges-arts-and-science-together\/\">worked with local<\/a>\u00a0schools to use the project as a means to teach young people about basic electronics and their use in the arts.
