Congratulations to Sung Yun Jun, Benito Sanz and Ted Parker whose collaborative research is featured on the front cover of the IEEE Transactions on Components, Packing and Manufacturing Technology

Congratulations to research student Mr Sung Yun Jun, Dr. Benito Sanz, and Professor Ted Parker of the Antennas research team in the School of Engineering and Digital Arts in collaboration with Dr David Bird and Dr Alan McClelland from the Center for Process Innovation (CPI), Sedgefield, UK. Their research paper “Manufacturing Considerations in the 3D-Printing of Fractal Antennas”, published in the US in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc.’s major journal the IEEE Transactions on Components, Packing, and Manufacturing Technology, was selected to feature on the front cover, with a photograph of one of their novel Sierpinski based fractal antennas. These structures were manufactured using the latest 3D printing techniques.
