The School of Engineering and Digital Arts is delighted to report that the Sciences Faculty Teaching Prize 2016 has been awarded to Professor John Batchelor, Dr Kostas Sirlantzis and Dr Richard Guest for their innovative international robotics competition instigated, designed and introduced as an integral component of our key first year Engineering undergraduate project module (EL311).
The competition allows all our students to enter their robots against those built to a common specification at the Université Paris X Nanterre, France. It also allows them to share best practice and development targets across social media. The initiative enables elements of competition and collaboration which are essential to the development of future engineers.
Congratulations to John, Kostas and Richard!
