Staff and students exhibit at Naidex, trade and healthcare exhibition

Staff and students from EDA will be representing the University of Kent and AART-BC at Naidex from 26-28 April 2016 promoting assistive technology.

Naidex is the UK’s largest disability, rehabilitation and homecare event with over 200 exhibitors showcasing their products to more than 9,000 visitors. The event is at the forefront of innovation and as the industry evolves, staying up-to-date has never been more important. Naidex is the only place where trader visitors, healthcare professionals and consumers can come together under one roof to discover the latest products and innovations presented by the Naidex exhibitors.

Representing the University of Kent on Stand A37, we will be demonstrating our smart driving assistance wheelchairs, displaying technology, reaching out to stakeholders and users and promoting our public and industry research profile.

We will also feature on Stand C45 as part of Adaptive Assistive Rehabilitative Technologies-Beyond the Clinic (AART-BC) which comprises 7 institutions: University of Warwick, University of York, University of Cardiff, University of Kent, University of Salford, Oxford Brookes University and University College London. AART-BC focuses on the development of a platform to monitor the use of Assistive Technlogy and compliance with Rehabilitation Programmes and support the patient outside of the clinic. The project will demonstrate the technology primarily in three patient groups: wheelchair users, prosthetic users and the elderly.
