The Board of the UKCCS Research Centre (The UK Carbon Capture and Storage Research Centre) has approved funding for Professor Yong Yan’s application to the International Research Collaboration Fund for £17,779 to visit Tianjin University, China from 10/08/2015 to 27/09/2015. It is proposed to combine Averaging Differential Pressure (ADP), ultrasonic and Coriolis flow sensors to build a demonstrable multi‐modal sensing system for CO2 flow metering. This integrated system will be extensively tested jointly between the Kent team and Tianjin team under controlled flow conditions which resemble CCS conditions on a 50mm bore multi‐phase flow rig at Tianjin. This international collaboration project is sponsored by KROHNE Ltd, a leading instrument manufacturer.
