Research Seminar – Creativity and Connectivity – Friday 7th November from 2 – 3 pm in SLT2, Stacey Building

The next EDA Research Seminar, entitled Creativity and Connectivity, will be delivered by Dr Claire Craig, Lab4Living Health Director, Centre for Health & Social Care Research, Sheffield Hallam University and will take place in SLT2, Stacey Building from 2 – 3 pm on Friday, 7th November 2014.

In this seminar, Dr Craig will explore the role arts can play in promoting well-being of individuals living with dementia. She will also use it as an opportunity to describe a recent project utilising photography as a way of eliciting the experiences of individuals living with the condition.

Dr. Claire Craig is a qualified occupational therapist with a particular interest in the potential of creativity and creative approaches to promote communication and self-esteem for people with dementia. She currently works as a lecturer in occupational therapy and as co-director of Lab4Living, an inter-professional research centre that brings together researchers in design, fine art, health and design who engage in research with individuals and services to drive innovation and develop products in healthcare service design and delivery.
