Congratulations to Professor Steven Gao on the research award of 183,821 Euros funded by the European Union EC FP7 programme, entitled “FLEXible microsystem technology for micro and millimetre wave antenna arrays with Intelligent pixels” (FLEXWIN). This project aims to investigate the novel design of electronically beam-steering intelligent antennas for Ka-band satellite communications on the move, collaborated with European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) IW (Germany), University of Ulm (Germany), IHP Microelectronics (Germany), Ericsson (Sweden), Mipot (Italy) and University of Calabria (Italy).
