The School of Engineering and Digital Arts is delighted to report that it has risen from 28th place to 21st place in the recently published Complete University Guide 2014 for the subject of Electrical and Electronic Engineering demonstrating enormous commitment from staff to ensure that students receive excellent research-led teaching and a stimulating and enjoyable student experience.
The University of Kent has also been ranked 28th out of 124 UK institutions in the Guide – a rise of five places from last year. This rise, combined with the University’s third place for overall satisfaction in the most recent National Student Survey (2012) and other recent league table achievements, including a ranking of 22nd in the 2013 Guardian University Guide and 28th in the Sunday Times League Table 2013, confirms Kent’s position in the top tier of UK universities. As Kent approaches its 50th anniversary it also has found itself ranked among the top 80 ‘under 50’ universities in the world by the Times Higher Education in what the publication describes as a celebration of universities ‘that have reached the top of the global academy in decades, not centuries’.
