We are delighted to announce that Mr. James Coombes, a third year Electronic and Communications Engineering student, is this year’s recipient of the Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement from the Institute of Measurement and Control sponsored by Hima Sella.
James received the award for the significant contribution he made to the design and implementation of an angular speed measurement system in his third year project. The technique uses multiple electrostatic sensors and correlation signal processing algorithms. The results are very promising and will be included in a research paper to be published in the near future.
Congratulations to James!
