The School of Engineering and Digital Arts and the Kent Physics Centre are jointly hosting a lecture entitled ‘The Genius of Michael Faraday’ which will be given by Sir John Meurig Thomas FRS, Former Director of The Royal Institution and Director of the Chemistry Laboratory, University of Cambridge. Professor Thomas will tell Faraday’s story. How did Michael Faraday, a deeply religious man who left school at 13 and never attended high school or university, become one of the greatest experimentalists of all time? The lecture will take place in GLT1 (Grimond Lecture Theatre 1 ) on Tuesday, 24th January 2012 at 7.30 pm. All welcome.
