Congratulations to Benjamin Dickinson upon winning Best Placement Student

Many congratulations to Benjamin Dickinson, studying Computer Systems Engineering with a Year in Industry in the School of Engineering and Digital Arts, who won Best Placement Student at the National Undergraduate Employability Awards, in association with Rate My Placement on Friday 28 February. Ben receives an award of £250 for all his hard work.

The award celebrates the amazing contribution that students make to large businesses across the UK whilst on placement. Benjamin won because he quickly became a trusted and reliable member of staff both internally and with customers. Working with and presenting to senior management, he directly delivered over £2m in revenue and supported the largest new business win last year. He also mentored many of the placement cohort and ran the social media for the company.

Benjamin worked as an Industry Value Advisor at SAP, the market leader in end-to-end enterprise application software, database, analytics, intelligent technologies, and experience management.

More details about Ben’s success and the NUE awards can be located here.

Well done Ben, from all at the School of Engineering and Digital Arts!
