Congratulations to Mr Xuekang Liu and Mr Jianfeng Qian on winning the Best Student Paper Prizes in 2022 IEEE iWAT Conference which took place in Dublin.
iWAT is one of the major international conferences in the field of antennas and radiowave propagation. It has three Best Student Paper Prizes in total, while two of these prizes were awarded to two PhD students at Kent. Mr Xuekang Liu and Mr Jianfeng Qian are PhD students at School of Engineering. They both are supervised by Dr. Benito Sanz, Dr. Chao Wang, Professor Steven Gao and their industrial supervisors.
Prof. Gao, Head of Communications Research Group, said “The Communications Research Group at Kent are internationally leading in the fields of intelligent antennas, photonics, and wireless communication systems. We are very proud of our PhD students who won two Best Student Paper Prizes at iWAT 2022 which is attended by many students, researchers and academics from Europe and internationally. This again demonstrates that the Communications Research Group at Kent is producing high-quality research outputs in the field of intelligent antennas for wireless communications.”
