EDA Alumnus contributes to the Netflix success ‘The Witcher’

This winter we were able to admire some incredible work by Kent/ EDA Alumnus, Jason Summersgill. As Lead Compositor, Jason and his talented team at One of Us helped produce the record-breaking Netflix success, “The Witcher”. The series, which is still available to stream on Netflix, is even giving “Star Wars” a run for its money.

Based on the fantasy Novel Series by Polish author, Andrzej Sapkowski, the show has been completely rejuvenating the series, which first arrived on Netflix on December 20th.

It became the biggest show in the world the week following release, surpassing the Disney Plus “Star Wars” series, “The Mandalorian”.

It then went on to revive the Witcher Video game series, helping the game break through 100,000 concurrent players for the first time since its release back in 2015.

The books have also benefitted from the success of the series, entering the New York Times best seller list for the first time since release. All of this, has added fuel to the fire for the video developers at CD Projekt Red to create more “Witcher” Games.

A huge congratulations to everyone involved! Take a look at some of Jason’s work on the series from One of Us. (https://www.weacceptyou.com/).
