From 2 pm to 5 pm on Thursday 26th July, there will be an Open Studio in Studio 3 Gallery, School of Arts, featuring the work of Rocio von Jungenfeld, Lecturer in Digital Media at the School of Engineering and Digital Arts as part of her micro-residency entitled ‘zones of flow (iii)’. The activity was developed in collaboration with EDA’s Technical Support Team and was designed to foster experimentation.
The activity features a video projection mapped onto a 2.5m paper-boat covered in light-dependent-resistors (LDR) which send signals to light-emitting diodes (LED) inside smaller paper boats. These small paper boats are scattered across the floor serving as a metaphorical water surface.
The next Open Studio will take place on 2nd August.
