PhD Candidate, Iulia Motoc, wins Engineering Ambassador of the Year at the British Engineering Excellence Awards

Congratulations to PhD Candidate, Iulia Motoc from the School of Engineering and Digital Arts who was awarded the accolade of ‘Engineering Ambassador of the Year’ at the British Engineering Excellence Awards 2017 on Thursday 5th October 2017 (having previously been shortlisted alongside four UK-based engineering companies including RS Components and Rapid Electronics.

Judges were looking for companies or individuals who engage on a regular basis with a local school or educational establishment to promote engineering. The judges commented that Iulia is a dynamo who has thrown herself into everything to ensure as many young people as possible are exposed to the potential of an exciting career in engineering and technology.

The BEEA awards were established in 2009 and are organised by Eureka and New Electronics.
