World Mental Health Day/Tea & Talk and Ada Lovelace Day 2017

The School of Engineering and Digital Arts hosted a FREE morning tea/coffee party for its community to mark World Mental Health Day on Tuesday 10th October in the Jennison social area, and raised funds (£34.35) to help create a world with good mental health for all. The event also acknowledged the fact that it was Ada Lovelace Day too, an international celebration day of the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and maths.

As a School, it is our duty to create a supportive environment for all, to appreciate each other and to create an organisational culture which reflects value systems and beliefs. Furthermore, we are also committed to increasing the profile of women in STEM and in doing so, create new role models who will encourage more girls into STEM careers and support women already working in STEM.
