A team from the School of Engineering and Digital Arts, involving Research Associates, Dr Michael Gillham and Mr Paul Oprea, exhibited at Naidex this week, demonstrating smart powered wheelchairs and assistive navigation technology, specifically related to the SANAS (Synergetic ADaptive Non-intrusive navigation assistance system for empowering the disabled, elderly and infirm powered wheelchair user) project.
