Industry Seminar – Voice services over 4G networks and their orchestrations: moving ahead whilst still supporting legacy networks, Thursday 16 March at 11 am in RDC-102

The next industry seminar, entitled Voice Services over 4G networks and their orchestration: moving ahead whilst still supporting legacy networks, will take place on Thursday 16th March at 11 am in RDC-102 and will be delivered by Georges Haddad, Advanced Consultant in Mobile Telecoms at Altran.

George will share his experience about the project on which he has been working on. He will speak about 4G Calling (VoLTE/VoWiFi) and the orchestration of legacy, current and new voice/multimedia services on the IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) network and beyond – the challenges that operators face as they move towards Network Convergence, and will address some of the latest developments in Mobile Communications.

Georges is an Advanced Consultant in Mobile Telecoms at Altran. He is an alumnus of the University of Kent, where he received his Master’s degree in Broadband and Mobile Communication Networks (2013). He was awarded the IEEE award for ‘Best Prize in Telecommunications’ for his MSc project titled: Space-Time Coding/Decoding in LTE 4G. As a Consultant, Georges is part of a cutting-edge project with Telefonica UK which revolves around 4G Calling and the orchestration of voice services.
