The seminar will deal with some real life issues relating to the implementation of both Mobile and Fixed networks. In particular, it will explore the challenges of deploying next generation services in conjunction with legacy services whilst maintaining the Customer and Network Quality of Experience.
Simon Hill is a Telecommunications Consultant with 17 years’ experience in the mobile and network fulfilment and assurance space, designing and implementing solutions to provide real-world network and service performance, using probes with both synthetic and live traffic network metrics. These tools enable service turn-up and in-life Customer Quality of Experience with Service performance for fixed and mobile networks. Previously, Simon spent 17 years in the automated test and measurement market where he worked in Sales, Support, Engineering and Software Product Management. Simon is also a graduate from the School of Engineering and Digital Arts (or Department of Electronics as it was previously known).
Howard Thomas is a Telecommunications Consultant at Viavi Solutions with more than 30 years’ experience in the mobile radio business, including making contributions on mobile radio propagation research in: the creation, design and 3GPP standardisation of features and systems; the design of self-organising-network algorithms. In parallel with this, he has been involved in the creation, management and enforcement of intellectual property rights, including authoring over 60 patents and acting as an expert witness to the Chancery Division of the High Court in London.
