Degree and Prize Giving Day for EDA Students

Canterbury Cathedral was the magnificent setting for students from the School of Engineering and Digital Arts to receive their degrees on Wednesday 13th July. This was preceded by a Reception and Prize Giving in the School of Engineering and Digital Arts, where families, friends and staff celebrated their success. Prizes were awarded as follows:

The Neon Adventures Prize was awarded by Mr Ashley St-Pier, Developer, Neon Adventures, to Ataur-Raziq Gonzalez for the Most Innovative Use of Cutting Edge Technologies in the Field of Digital Media.

The Faculty of Sciences Rotary Prizes were awarded by Dr Farzin Deravi, Head of School, to Jennifer Catherine Robertson and Jordan Leigh Harris for Distinguished Performance in Stage 3 Examinations.

The Faculty of Sciences Dean’s Prize was awarded (in absentia) by Dr Farzin Deravi, Head of School to Joel Earps, for Outstanding Performance in the Examinations.

The BAE Systems Prize was awarded by Mr Nyasha Lloyd Japondo, Hardware Engineer and Campus Manager, to Tyler Belle for Most Outstanding Project by a Third Year CSE Student.

The BAE Systems Prize : Inspiring the Participation of Women in Engineering was awarded by Mr Nyasha Lloyd Japondo, Hardware Engineer and Campus Manager to Julie Skevik.

The BAE Systems Prize : Inspiring the Participation of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities in Engineering was awarded by Mr Nyasha Lloyd Japondo, Hardware Engineer and Campus Manager to Moyra Chikomo.

The Haag-Streit Project Prize was awarded by Dr Farzin Deravi, Head of School, to Rebecca Wiercigroch, Daniel Green, Luke Neal and Luke Warren for a medically related project.

The Megger Instruments Ltd Prize was awarded by Graham Heritage, Managing Director, Megger Instruments, to Michael Nash for the Most Outstanding Instrumentation Project.

The Speech Link Multimedia Prize was awarded by Susan McMackin, Speech and Language Therapist, Speech Link, to Holly Yelland and Alejandro Fernandez for the Best Final Year Project with a Therapeutic Application.

The Teach First Prize was awarded by Abiola Olaore, Graduate Recruitment Officer, Teach First to Oluwadara Olayebi for Distinguished Performance in the Stage 1, 2, 3 or 4 Examinations.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Chapter Final Year Prize was awarded by Dr Farzin Deravi, Head of School, to Jonathan Heirons for best final year undergraduate project in the telecommunications area

The Institution of Engineering and Technology Prize was awarded by Dr Farzin Deravi, Head of School to Jordan Harris for Distinction by a Final Year Student on an IET Accredited Course.
