Students and Staff from EDA recently participated in two Big Bang Near Me initiatives, namely The Big Bang Fair South East on 29th June in Hawards Heath, Sussex and The Big Bang London East on 6th July promoting STEM to young people.
At The Big Bang Fair South East, 228 young people took part (up 7.5% on last year) and this figure comprised 66% females and 34% male, Forty-three schools participated and the mode group was Year 9.
At the London event, a total of 160 young people took part, and as with the previous event, participants comprised 66% female, 34% male. Nine different schools participated at The Big Bang London East including Newham College itself.
