Congratulations to Catherine Butler from EDA for successfully applying for and receiving £3,050 from the Kent Opportunity Fund (Student Project Grants Scheme) for a project entitled ‘Improving Health, Wellbeing and Diversity in STEM’. This will be a two-fold project seeking to: i) promote and develop a series of activities which enhance the wellbeing of students in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) ii) encourage diversity, participation and confidence amongst minority groups in STEM.
The project will commence in May 2016 with a week long programme of wellbeing activities to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week 2016 (#mhaw16) and conclude in November with numerous EDI events to coincide with Kent’s Equality Week.
