William Latham, Professor of Computing at Goldsmiths and CEO of Games Audit, travelled to the University of Kent last night to deliver the School of Engineering and Digital Arts’ penultimate 50th anniversary lecture ‘Mutator 1 + 2 and Computer Games’.
William delivered a fascinatng insight in the world of organic computer art, discussing the evolution of complex forms and the use of mathematical systems in creating computer imagery. He also provided interesting anecdotes from the computer games and entertainment industry including his time designing album covers for The Shamen, the Scottish psychedelic-influenced electronic dance music band from the late 1980’s/early 1990’s.
