Antenna is the critical component for satellite communications. The objective of this special issue is to bring together the most updated research contributions addressing antennas for satellite communications and inter-satellite communications and propose new applications, solutions and challenges for the future. This special issue, consisting of 30 international papers has been organised by Professor Gao and leading antenna experts from Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA, USA, and Australia. Dr. Qi Luo, Research Associate in EDA also published one paper in this Special Issue. His paper focused on an innovative design of Ka-band electronically beam- steerable smart antenna for high-speed satellite communications on the move.
