Staff in EDA participate in the Vice Chancellor’s Cup

Staff at the School of Engineering and Digital Arts are participating in the Vice Chancellor’s Cup for the first time this year. The Vice-Chancellor’s Cup has been running since 2011 and it is an inter-departmental staff competition for all abilities.

Events kicked off on Tuesday 17th February with a Volleyball tournament and 17 teams were involved in total. Further activities include Netball, Basketball, and a Sports Day amongst others which are played throughout the year, ending with a finale quiz. Teams accrue points for their participation in activities and the winning team will be announced in September.

“The EDA team is made up of all ages and backgrounds and it’s great to see the staff working together and letting their competitive streak shine through – with the added bonus of keeping fit and healthy” Famy Rashid, ‘Nobody does it bEDA’ Team Captain.
