EDA staff, students and guests continued the tradition of celebrating the Chinese New Year with a buffet of Chinese food and entertainment in the social area of the Jennison building on the evening of Wednesday, 18th February 2015 (Chinese New Year Eve).
This year’s celebration was sponsored by the University of Kent as part of the 50th anniversary celebration activities. Professor Sarah Spurgeon, Head of School, gave the opening address to the party goers, explaining the importance of the 50th anniversary.
Hosted by Xiaojing Bai and Horry Li, the celebrations included an entertaining presentation by Dr Chao Wang about the Chinese Zodiac and a programme of musical entertainment performed by both researchers and academic staff. Professor Yong Yan provided concluding remarks.
