Team Digitalent from EDA reach the finals of the Pitch It! competition

Congratulations to digital media postgraduate students; Genevieve Alelis, Pruet Putjorn, Sumita Chauhan and Walaa Alharthi, otherwise known as Digitalent, who made it through to the Finals of the Pitch It! competition.

The team entered the University of Kent’s 50th anniversary Pitch It! T-Shirt design competition. This competition was a great opportunity to get students engaged with the 50th celebrations and for them to learn new skills (teamwork and presentation/pitching skills) which they can put on their CVs. More information available at http://www.kent.ac.uk/pitchit The competition was open to all Kent students last November and was looking for students to submit their design ideas for a limited edition University of Kent 50th anniversary t-shirt.

The competition saw the best seven student teams pitch their designs to a University panel of experts in December. Shortlisted teams were then selected, and Team Digitalent from EDA made it through to the finals and were presented with certificates of participation and a bottle of bubbly by Kent Busines School Director, Professor Martin Meyer at KBS’s Enterprise Day on 11 February.

The winning design (http://www.kent.ac.uk/kbs/school/news_full.html?view=3632) will be championed by the University’s 50th anniversary merchandise team and sold as official limited edition 50th anniversary merchandise.

Well done to Genevieve, Pruet, Sumita and Walaa.
