EDA alum celebrates involvement in BAFTA success

Congratulations to EDA Alum, Tito Fernandes, (Digital Visual Effects, 2009) who was directly involved in the award winning film ‘Interstellar’, which won Best Special Visual Effects at the BAFTAS on 8 February 2015 in London.

Tito worked alongside Paul Franklin, VFX Supervisor, at Double Negative and Interstellar’s Director, Christopher Nolan, in carving and shaping 18 sequences of the film. Tito tested all possible scenarios for each of the story’s plot points or action moments and his work was then distributed to the crew as a guide for filming and for the VFX pipeline. Tito recalls starting the ‘Interstellar’ project with just 4 people in a room, ending with hundreds, carrying the work all the way through to the finishing line a year later.

Well done to Tito on this great career achievement.
