Research Seminar – Introduction to R&D Electromagnetic activities in Toyota Central, Japan: Tuesday 20 January 2015 at 10 am in KBSX1

EDA’s next research seminar entitled ‘Introduction of R&D Activities on Electromagnetics in Toyota Central R&D Labs, Japan’ will be delivered by Dr Hideo Iizuka, Program Manager, Nanostructured Devices Program, Frontiers Research Division, Toyota Central R&D Labs, Japan. It will take place on Tuesday 20 January 2015 from 10 am until 11 am in Room KBSX1, Kent Business School Extension.

Dr. Hideo Iizuka is a leading expert in antennas, electromagnetics and nano devices and wireless systems for automobile applications. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Saitama University, Saitama, Japan, in 1995 and 1997, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in engineering from the Nagoya Institute of Technology, Nagoya, Japan, in 2007. He joined Toyota Central R&D Labs, Inc., Nagakute, Japan, in 1997. He was a Visiting Scholar with the University of Birmingham, Birmingham, U.K., from 2001 to 2002, and as a senior Engineer with the Toyota Research Institute, Toyota Motor Engineering and Manufacturing North America, Inc., Ann Arbor, MI, USA, from 2008 to 2011. His research interests include analyses and developments of electromagnetic devices and systems for automotive applications.

Toyota is well known worldwide in automobile and electronics industries.In the seminar, Dr Iizuka will explain his recent work at Toyota on electromagnetic analyses and devices.
