World AIDS Day is held on the 1st December each year and is an opportunity for people to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for those living with and to commemorate those who have died. This event was the first ever global health day and has been held annually since 1988.
The red ribbon is the universal symbol of awareness and support and was conceived by a group of 12 artists. It was the first ever ribbon symbol and went on to inspire later versions such as the pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness.
You can purchase a red ribbon from J’s Tea Bar from today, Monday 24th November, with a donation of your choice.
Also, on Monday 1st December there will be Red Velvet and Pink Layer cake available from J’s Tea Bar with the profits from the sale of these going towards the National AIDS Trust.
Thank you for your support.
