This employability event is a great opportunity for students to learn about their careers options and get an opportunity to network with potential employers who are particularly interested in their degrees and skills. The event featured postgraduate presentations for students that want to pursue a specialist Master’s degree or to gain chartered engineer status, careers talks and company presentations. Top employers attended the employability fair to raise the profile of their company, showcase their technologies and attract student applicants to their placement and graduate vacancies. Alumni from EDA were invited back to talk about their graduate career experience and were on hand to tell the students about current opportunities as well as imparting hints and tips to help them through the recruitment process. A highlight of the event was the mock assessment centre facilitated by Thales and Santander which was a great success and received positive feedback from both students and the companies involved.
EDA has been acknowledged for its commitment to its students in providing the best possible opportunities and guidance for improving employability skills and graduate prospects.
It really was run excellently and I would definitely recommend it to others. Thank you so much for being so helpful, friendly and welcoming! Maya Butler, Student, University of Kent
