Student satisfaction remains high

The School of Engineering and Digital Arts is delighted to report that our students continue to be our best advocates and they are extremely satisfied with their academic experience. We are in the top 5 in the UK in a number of the 2014 national league tables: 1st in The Guardian University Guide, 3rd in The Complete University Guide and 4th in the National Student Survey, where we achieved an overall satisfaction score of 96%. The NSS is a national initiative, conducted annually since 2005. The survey is aimed at all final-year undergraduates in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

In relation to employability and career prospects, 100% of Engineering students and 83% of Design students found employment or went on to further study within 6 months of graduating in 2013.

Furthermore, as an institution, the University of Kent has found itself ranked 1st in London and the South East and 6th in the UK for overall student satisfaction in the NSS 2014, ranked 20th in the UK in the 2015 Guardian University Guide and ranked in the top 100 worldwide for institutions less than 50 years old in the 2014 THE ranking.
