New postdoctoral research position in fibre-wireless systems and fixed-mobile convergence

The postdoctoral research position is part of an EPSRC funded award to investigate an intelligent mobile network infrastructure that can accommodate future requirements such as increased device-to-device communication and new applications demanding high quality of experience/quality of service. The wider collaborative project involves academic partners from the University of Essex and a number of industry partners.

This role is full time for 3 years and a start date of 1 Sept 2014, or as soon as possible thereafter, is expected.

The post holder will work closely with colleagues at Kent, Essex and at industry partners, including particularly JDSU UK Ltd and EE, to carry out the research programme described in the grant application. The successful applicant will have, or be expected to have, a PhD and research experience in the area of converged fibre-wireless networks and technology.
